Research by the Future Laboratory, a consultancy for trend forecasting, shows that the future of business is set to be feminine, emphasising the collaborative, lateral thinking and creative skills found in the right side of the brain the side that women favour naturally.
Men favour the left side with its rational, logical, analytical qualities, which previously dominated the testosterone-fuelled, ego-driven workplace that we have come to know so well."
Firstly, I should state I am male. Secondly, as a rational male, I would dispute the logic that states that "rational, logical, analytical qualities" lead to a "testosterone-fuelled, ego-driven workplace". Finally, I welcome the incrasing presence and influence of women in the workplace and in particular in positions of power. I do believe that "collaborative, lateral thinking and creative skills" will be a positive influence and look forward to Australia's first woman Prime Minister.
